Bus Hits Girl: Who is at fault?

Is the girl wrong for not looking before crossing? Is the bus driver wrong for not stopping when the pedestrian is in the crosswalk?

Hell, I don’t know. What do you think?

heh. it doesn’t matter who is at fault. in a conflict between a vehicle and a pedestrian, the vehicle ALWAYS wins. pedestrians should just always give right of way to cars, and always look. if you don’t, sure you can sue them but you might be dead.

Well the law says pedestrians ALWAYS have right of way but who cares about that when you’ve got a broken back?

Pretty damn obvious the bus driver was at fault. Viewing the video you can see he had plenty of time to see the girl crossing. It looks like he was not paying attention. GG.

Clearly the bus driver is at fault. Why even ask that question? Just because she didn’t look both ways doesn’t mean she broke the law. She was only disregarding her own safety by failing to take such precautions. The fucktard busdriver just plowed into her.

The bus driver is totally at fault. From this angle it looks like the girl had no idea he was going to turn, and he had plenty of time to slow down or stop. Where did this happen? In California pedestrians always have right of way in a crosswalk. It’s illegal to not stop, even if you’re not anywhere close to hitting them.

    Bitch needs to pay attention

Why was this question asked? Pedestrians always have the right of way. Why? Well, even the fat ones don’t have tons of deadly steel under their direct control.

Walking on the street is a right. Driving is a privilege. One cannot subvert the other.

Defintly the buss driver. If the bus was coming towards the camera at the side of the frame that mean the street the girl was crossing was a redlight. Therefore she had the walk signal.

    It’s definitely the woman’s fault!
What the fuck was she doing out of the kitchen???!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?

Yep, she definitely had the walk signal, that’s why she wasn’t looking.

But the real question is, why is there some stalker zooming in on women there? xD

either that kitchen is huge or that bitch deserved to get hit.

Pretty obvious that the driver was at fault as the other commenters have said. She would have had the walk signal. If there was no signal at that crossing then at least where I am from, the pedestrian always has the right of way.

you guys are forgeting the golden rule. pedestrians hav the right fo way… unless they in da way. she was clearly in da way so she forfits her rights flatout.

Its the buss’ fault for driving in the kitchen.

    The real question is:

Why was that dumbass bus driver driving in the kitchen???

The bus was making a left turn. You always yield when making a left turn, even to other cars, and you always yield to pedestrians regardless of the circumstances. Also, judging from the direction of traffic flow, she most likely had a walk signal.

driver awareness is to blame, nothing other than life tkes president in the drivers responsibilities

HAD she looked, she would not have seen any indication of the bus’ intention to turn as he DID NOT SIGNAL. So, there was NO way for her to protect herself. Not only is this a violation of HER right of way by the bus, the bus’ lack of signal makes it even worse because that lends to the discussion of negligence on the part of the bus.

It’s one thing to break a law by mistake. It is another to be NEGLIGENT and break a law by mistake!

Is anyone else wondering why someone was filming these women in the first place? That’s a bit creepy…
