Coolest product I’ve seen today: ShowerBow

Between traveling for job-hunting and moving to Huntsville, I’ve spent about 45 days or so in hotels since February. One of the things I’ve noticed is that all of the hotels I’ve stayed at have had a curved shower curtain rod, which is nice because it gives me more room by moving the shower curtain out and away from my body.

Yours truly needs his elbow room in the shower. Ahem.

Anyway, putting a curved rod in your shower at home isn’t real practical - who wants to go through installing one of those suckers into your beautiful, expensive tile? Who wants one of those things sticking out in the smallest room in your house?

shower bowWell, here’s a way around that hassle and you get the same effect: The ShowerBow is an easy-to-install and discrete and moves the shower curtain out and away during a shower. It clips on your existing rod and uses a counterweight to lock the bow into place when you’re in a shower, and unlock it so the curtain hangs loosely when you’re out of the shower.

Having trouble picturing it? Here is a demonstration video of the shower bow, complete with the naked cowboy playing his guitar and singing in the shower. A disturbing image, actually, and one I will unfortunately carry in my head for the better part of the day now. But, a video is worth a thousand words, and you can see how easy it is to install and use.
