Movie Review: Leatherheads
I saw Leatherheads over the weekend. It was fine, had some funny moments, but certainly formulaic. I went to the early matinee, so at least I didn’t pay full price and I got what I paid for.
There were enough big names - Clooney, Zellweger, and that tall guy from The Office. Everyone did their jobs. Marks were hit, lines were delivered, wry, ironic expressions displayed on faces. I suppose I’m so ambivalent about it because it was enjoyable enough, but could have been so much more. Instead, you know how it will play out in the first 5 minutes.
Anyway, it’s fine to take your wife or girlfriend to on date night. There’s no subject matter that will cause you to argue, or even think for that matter.
